What to do after landing in Barcelona
The journey from the airport to the center of Barcelona varies depending on the means of transport and rush hour. You can use a variety of transport links such as there are bus lines, metro or suburban train connections. The time from the airport to the center takes about 30 minutes. Bus line number 46 is the most used line when traveling to the city center. You can buy a ticket valid only for the bus at the price of 2.15 € from the driver.
It is also possible to buy an all-day public transport ticket for € 8.40, or a block of T-10 tickets of 10 pieces for a total price of € 10. Or you can buy a block of T-10 tickets (10 pcs) worth 10 €.
The metro line L9 with stations in both terminals also goes to the center. A metro ticket costs € 4.50 and is only transferable within metro connections. To reach the center of Barcelona, you have to change to the blue or red metro line, which will take you approximately 50 minutes.
If you are heading further outside Barcelona, a suitable transport is the R2 suburban train.
A train ticket costs € 4.10, you can also use one of the above-mentioned T-10 tickets.
Airbus is a special line that serves only the airport and is not part of public transport. The direct journey from the airport directly to the center takes 35 minutes and the price is € 5.90.

What to do after landing in Madrid
Like other major European and international airports, Barajas offers several ways to get to the metropolis. and Chamartín, the Príncipe Pío bus station or the business district in the north of Nuevos Ministerios. The connection leaves the airport three times an hour from 6 am to 11.30 pm and a one-way ticket costs you 2.60 euros.
All terminals are connected to Madrid by Metro Line 8. Like the commuter train, it takes you to Nuevos Ministerios Station. From here, you can take other lines to other underground stations. The metro runs from the airport four times an hour, from 06:00 until 01:30. Prepare 4.50 to 6 euros for each fare.
Local bus services are another way to get to central Madrid. Line 101, which runs only from Terminals 1, 2 and 3, takes you to the outskirts of the city to the Canillejas interchange, while bus line 200 connects all terminals to the important Avenida América interchange. Express line 203, which is the only one operating all day, transports passengers from all terminals to the already mentioned Atocha station.
