Brazil is the fifth largest country in the world, the largest country in Central America. It is about 8 500 000 km2 and has about 195 million inhabitants. The capital Brasilia is one of the youngest cities among the capital cities. It was set up to be located exactly in the middle of the country, and was named capital in 1960. Brazil is divided into 26 states and regions - North, Northeast, Midwest, Southeast and South.
The country has 1700 species of birds, many exotic animals such as jaguar, puma, capybara, dolphins, monkeys, turtles or anacondas. The Amazon region is located in the Northern Region, occupying almost 80% of Brazil’s territory. Thousands of small streams flow into the Amazon. The journey to the primeval forest begins in the two largest cities of Belem and Manaus.
An area with rich colonial history, beautiful beaches and folklore. The best known for Czechs are the beaches in Fortaleza.
Three ecological systems meet here - Cerrado, Pantanal and the Amazon Forest. Cerrado offers horse riding, rafting, canoeing. Pantanal is a place for observation of fauna. You can go on a safari trip or explore the capital Brasilia.
It is economically strongest, there are big cities like Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo. Many tourists long for a moment to stand under the statue of Christ, take a bath in Copacabana or visit a sugar cane.
Rich in Igaus Falls, Jesuit missions and good wine. Waterfalls are the most beautiful on our planet. Do not be afraid to visit them more than once. You will always be surprised by its diversity. Get yourself, for example, the upcoming Summer Olympics.
