Katowice International Airport is located in the municipality of Pyrzowice, about 30 kilometers north of Katowice itself. It is the third busiest airport in Poland and operates mainly low cost airlines.
The airport has two passenger terminals, marked A and B, and one cargo terminal. Its runway is 2,800 meters long and 60 meters wide, so huge Boeing 747 or Boeing 777 aircraft can land in Katowice.
Ryanair and Wizzair have the largest presence at Katowice Airport, which together operate almost 30 routes to destinations across Europe. Polish LOT, euroLOT and German Lufthansa also operate at Terminal B.
There is a bus from Katowice Central Station to the airport every hour, which is probably the cheapest option. The journey takes about 50 minutes. Overnight at a clean airport should be easy - shops are open nonstop and seats with backrests are available for passengers.
In Terminal A there are also Onlinecar Car Rental, Budget Rent a Car, Silvercar, GTL, Awos and Jolcar. In addition, the terminal B houses the GT MWM CARS rental.
