On another continent, yet so close to this seaside paradise! If you are looking for a cheap, exotic holiday, be sure to travel to Tunisia! The season begins in early May and lasts until the end of October. Those who like real warmth and warm sea water should arrive in the country between July and August.
The locals are very friendly and hospitable, which is no wonder, as about 70% of the country’s income comes from tourism. Visit the local Medina market, where you can bargain with local merchants, but beware! It’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with the original prices in stores in advance, so that the sellers don’t sell them more expensive than the original price.
There are several tourist centers on the mainland of Tunisia:
Hammamet in Nabeul
The nearest airport is Enfidha Hammamet (NBE).
Hammamet is a larger, bustling city divided into historic Hammamet and the newly developed tourist district of Yasmine Hammamet.
Nabeul is a little more reserved, a center of Tunisian crafts, where you will also find unique ceramic moles. Great choice for a romantic holiday.
Accommodation for 2 with all inclusive board
Monastir, Mahdia, Sousse is located close to Monastir Habib Bourguib Airport (MIR).
All three cities possess wide sandy beaches, large hotel complexes. The city of Sousse is especially recommended for young people, because the city offers many entertainment options and never sleeps. The locals also talk about it only as a “crazy city”.
Accommodation with all inclusive:
With breakfast: Le Monaco Hôtel & Thalasso
If you want peace, azure sea, and white sand, in any case, visit the island of Djerba in southern Tunisia. You probably won’t see such beautiful sea colors on other European beaches. On this small island, time seems to have stopped a bit. The locals are very smiling (although it is typical of the whole country). They are also quiet, sympathetic, and traditional.
We offer even cheaper flights and accommodation ..

Djerba Airport, Djerba
Because it is located several hundred kilometers lower than the tourist cities on the mainland, the season starts earlier here. From the end of March, we can sunbathe at a pleasant temperature of 25 degrees.
Here you can stay in larger complexes with an all inclusive and fun animated team:
Or in smaller, Tunisian, more romantic bed and breakfasts:
If you are on an island, visit a crocodile farm, where - if you arrive at the appointed time - you can watch the feeding of hundreds of crocodiles. The crocodile farm is located in a large complex, where you can also see the Tunisian open-air museum.
If you like adventure, take a desert tour and relax in the hotel’s oasis:
If you plan to stay in the country longer, also visit:
- Sidi Bou Said, a blue and white Tunisian city built on a cliff above the sea, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Matmata & Ksour Cave Houses, where some scenes from Star Wars were filmed.
- Cap Bon is a popular excursion destination with a beautiful coastline in the northeastern part of the country.
- Kairouan, an important holy city founded in 670, is also a World Heritage Site. Its medina and the great Okba Mosque amaze their visitors.
Pack your suitcase fast! Tunisia will not disappoint you.
