Flies to Santorini and coronavirus
A PCR test up to 72 hours old must be issued in English, stating the name of the passenger and his/her travel document number or the official national vaccination certificate in English, if at least 14 days have elapsed since the completion of the vaccination. These obligations do not apply to children under 10 years of age.
You must also complete the Passenger Locator Form (PLF) https://travel.gov.gr/#/ electronically before you arrive in Santorini, based on which you will receive a QR code. The QR code is used, among other things, for a random test on Covid-19, which can be performed on a passenger when entering Greece.
Culinary paradise
For many people, a visit to Santorini becomes a top gastronomic experience. Treat your taste buds to famous traditional delicacies, such as fake pseftikeftedes meatballs, which are prepared from beans, onions, tomatoes and herbs, or a special kind of fresh goat cheese “hloró tyrí”. You can also try some of the exceptional local typical wines from grapes grown on the volcanic soil of the island! Athyri, Mantilaria, Aidani and Mavrotragano are just some of the distinctive varieties you can taste in the famous wineries on the island.
Beautiful beaches
The local beaches will definitely not cease to entertain you. You can choose from white, red or black sand beaches. But if you get tired of the sand, you will find volcanic pebble beaches on Santorini. In addition to the colorful beaches, you can enjoy the local deep waters of bright blue color and magnificent rock formations.
Did you know that the entire Santorini island complex is still an active volcano and probably the only volcano in the world whose crater is in the sea?
