Great Britain Prize
The first BritishGP since 2019 for Valentin Rossi and MotoGP debut for Jake Dixon. BritishGP will return to the calendar this weekend - after the pandemic caused its cancellation last year.
Rossi, who is very popular with British fans, I hope that he will show them a good show in his last season. Over the years, the Italian has collected several impressive statistics with 6 victories and 12 podium finishes.
Dixon, who is behind Franco Morbidelli, will make his MotoGP debut at the home GP this weekend as the paddock returns to Silverstone for the first time since 2019. The British circuit was also the scene of his World Cup debut when Jake started his Moto2 2017 race. This week, he will jump on a Yamaha YZR-M1 for the first time and look forward to the experience he will gain in three days.
Silverstone Circuit is located in the Northamptonshire area of England, on the site of an old military airport. The airport was built during World War II as an air base for British and American bombers, the first grand prize was held here in 1948.
The length of the circuit is 5891 km.
