Denmark’s main airport is on Amager Island, about 8 kilometers from central Copenhagen and 24 kilometers from Malmö, Sweden. In 2008, some 21 500 000 passengers passed through Copenhagen Airport, making it the biggest airport in Scandinavia. For example, Scandinavian Airlines System, Norwegian Air Shuttle or transavia.com have their bases there.
Passenger transport is reserved for three terminals, which are also occupied by the following airlines:
- Terminal 1:**Cimber Sterling
- Terminal 2: Air Berlin, EasyJet, Iceland Express, Norwegian Air Shuttle, transavia.com
- **Terminal 3:**Scandinavian Airlines System, Spanair, Widerøe
The easiest way to the center of Copenhagen is metro, specifically its line M2. Alternatively, there are Movia buses - lines 5A, 35, 36 and 96N, or line 999 of Gråhundbus.
Passengers needing lockers, showers, snack vending machines, free WiFi and a number of benches are available at the airport. The Departure Hall of Terminal 2 seems the quietest .
At the airport you can find branches of five different car rentals - EuropCar, Hertz, Avis, Budget and Sixt.
